Startup And Commissioning Includes:

  • A conference call to confirm the system is installed, powers up, and functions as expected
  • Detailed and signed statement of work (SOW)
  • Once on-site at your facility, RLE Certified Technicians will:
    • Configure communications
    • Set parameters and thresholds
    • Test inputs and map locations if necessary
    • Verify the controller is reporting alarms as expected and communicating per customer requirements (email, protocols, audible alarms)

Startup And Commissioning Parameters

Scope: Ensure the installed system functions, reports, alarms, and communicates as intended per customer requirements at the customer specified site. Typical installation requires one day of onsite access. Time to complete may vary based on specific customer requirements.

Purpose

  • Startup and commission RLE product(s).
  • Configure and test RLE products to ensure they function to factory specifications.
  • Provide a solution for customers who have installed products but are not familiar with our product startup and commissioning practices.
  • Customers have peace of mind that their equipment is functioning properly and is ready to be in service.

Schedule: To be determined based on RLE Technicians availability and available dates provided by the customer.

Requirements

  • Signed scope of work from customer or end user and confirmation that system is functional before travel is booked.
  • PO issued for travel and expenses.
  • Clear understanding of the site and customer requirements. Typically handled with a conference call but may require a site evaluation.
  • All RLE equipment must be installed/mounted prior to arrival. Power, communication, cabling, etc. must be operational.
  • Customer must provide access to all areas of the site and a site escort if required by the facility.

Tasks

  • Conference call to confirm the system powers up and functions as expected. Travel will be booked after the call is completed.
  • Configure communications.
  • Set parameters and thresholds.
  • Test inputs and map locations if necessary.
  • Create a first draft of framed reference map (FM1114) if purchased.
  • Verify controller is reporting alarms as expected and communicating based on the customer requirements (email, protocol, audible alarm).
  • Provide detailed SOW.

Close

  • Final walkthrough. Customer must sign off on installation and functionality.
  • A first draft of a framed reference map (FM1114) will be provided if the customer has purchased this option.
