RLE is pleased to announce the addition of Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) Sensing Cable to our line of leak detection sensing cable products.
We’ve been in the leak detection market for more than 30 years. In that time, we’ve seen our products deployed in areas with specific sets of requirements. In response to the ever-changing needs of our customers and the ever-increasing applications of our leak detection sensing cable, we’ve worked to develop a sensing cable that meets the requirements of a LSZH deployment without sacrificing the leak detection sensing cable performance that we’re known for.
Same Great Cable Performance, Added Safety Features
LSZH cable responds to leaks just the same way and just as quickly as our standard orange sensing cable – water is detected and a signal is sent back to the leak detection controller, identifying the leak and sending notification to responsible parties immediately.
What sets LSZH cable apart from the other cables? LSZH cable is specifically formulated to release significantly less smoke and zero halogen upon combustion. If there is a fire, LSZH cable releases less smoke that is also less optically dense (easier to see through) and releases fewer toxic and corrosive gases than smoke produced by other cables. This makes exiting a space safer for employees and accessing the source of a fire easier for emergency personnel.
LSZH cable is ideal for specialty installs and applications with limited ventilation, including subway tunnels, nuclear power plants, aircraft, tanks, ships and submarines, and subsea or offshore installations.
Compatible With All Other Cables And Existing Deployments
Our LSZH cables can be used together with any of our sensing cables in a single installation, and can be used in a new deployment or integrated seamlessly into any existing RLE leak detection system.
